Good News

Just got back from the doctor for Toddy's nose. It is definately cracked. But, he hit it square on so it is healing very well. Therefore, we do not have to go to a specialist. I have to keep an eye on it though. If I dont think it looks good next week then I have to take him back. Rick will be home Monday night, so he can decide. Here is a picture right before we went to the doctor today!

Toddy's First Major Accident

All I can say is boys will be boys....and this is just the beginning of the many accidents to come. The were running and chasing each other. Toddy fell against the futton. And yep.....he broke his nose. We will find out Thursday if he has to go to a specialist to have it fixed or not. He seems to be in a good mood and slept really good last night. His eye is getting a little black, but nothing major yet. the swelling has seemed to stop. So, pray that it is healing right and we wont have to have surgery. At least we didnt have to go to the ER, just the doctors office. But, from what family has told me, it is just the beginning and I am sure there will be worse. After all, they are their father's sons!!!

Thanksgivng Weekend

This year we spent Thanksgiving up in Dixie at my Father-in-laws cabin. We headed up Wednesday morning with Chris and Sam. Thursday, Sam and I made Turkey dinner and we did some playing outside. On Friday, Gpa Todd and Gma Shelly came up. There wasnt much snow, so Dallon is the only one that got to really ride his snowmobile. But, we tied the sled behind it and we pulled him or he pulled people. I think us adults had just as much fun as he did. On Saturday, Toddy had the flu, so Sam and I opted to stay at the cabin with him. The rest of the crew jumped in Toby's ranger and rode down to Mackay Bar to do some fishing. They caught 2 steelhead and had a great time. On Sunday none of us really wanted to leave so we tied the sled to the town cat and out on the airport we went. Man was it a rough ride when you were in the sled but it sure was fun. Sunday evening we headed home. It was a great time in Dixie.

When Spiderman Attacks!!!

So not much trick-or-treating this year, do to exhausted kids and sickness. But, the boys did dress up and we went to a few places. Dallon was the black Spiderman and Toddy was the red Spiderman. First, we stopped at Gma Skip's and Gpa Jerry's. The boys did a lot of playing for an hour and then decided we should venture on. I didnt think we would get far, since Toddy was extremely crabby and it was only 4:30. But, we headed to Gpa Todd's and Gma Shelly's. She was getting ready to make chocolate chip cookies. Toddy was happy to be there and watched cartoons while Dallon helped make cookies. It was very relaxing and fun. Then, we headed to Cottonwood. Both the boys fell asleep on the way there. So, Dallon was ready to go out once we got there. So, we hooked up with my friends Stephanie and Maria and their kids and went for an hour. It was fun, but we were ready to come home and go to bed. But, on the bright side. Dallon really hasnt asked for any of his candy. Then, Sunday morning we got up and went to Lewiston to trick or treat Grandma Darlene in the hospital. They really werent sure about Grandma being in there. Usually they hang all over her, but she just had knee surgery. But, they wore their costumes and had fun. And Grandma is doing good. Hope every one had a good Halloween.

Dallon Wrestling

Dallon wrestled in Kamiah on Saturday. He had been sick on Thursday night and Friday with a fever and cough. He had no fever on Saturday, but insisted on wrestling. I dont think he felt very good, but he wrestled. He was all ready for his first match with some energy, but not a 100%. He did very well against that kid. And then, it was down hill from there. He was very tired and you could tell he didnt feel good. This video is of his second match against one of his team mates. He is wearing white shoes. He was so tired and had no fight. He did good though. Then his last match he was exhausted. Hopefully, next weekend he will feel good and be ready to wrestle all day. I will try to get more pictures and another video next weekend.

Pumpkin Carving

Tuesday afternoon before Rick left, we decided to carve the pumpkins. Dallon and Rick chose to do Spongebob and Toddy and I did a bat. Toddy didnt like the feel of the pumpkins. So, he really wasnt into it. Dallon, on the other hand, wanted to carve everything. So, once I was done, he started carving on mine. Rick's pumpkin took about an hour to carve. Mine 10 minutes. After I took Toddy's clothes off, I guess he decided he needed to be diaper free. Although, he didnt succeed, he did look funny!!!

Dallon's First Tournament

Dallon had a great time wrestling on Saturday. We were both extremely tired, but we both managed and had a great time. He got to wrestle 4 times. Although, he did not win any, he had so much fun. He really enjoyed cheering for his buddy Evan. They are not in the same age group, so they could watch each other. I got the enjoyment of watching Dallon wrestle on our big screen tv Saturday night with Rick. I had to coach a little girl that was very scared. The only way she would wrestle was if I was with her the whole time. So, therefore, I was with her while Dallon was wrestling. Rick and Toddy decided to stay home since Rick had flown the whole day before and was still tired. He did really good and had lots of fun. Stay tuned for next weeks pictures. Maybe I can get a video uploaded next week. He is all ready!!!

Dallon's 1st Field Trip

Dallon got to go on his first field trip for school last Friday. I got to go with him as one of the volunteers. I really like his school because they allow for parents to come whenever they want and they also get to volunteer one day a month to stay the whole day. Anyways, the class got to walk down to the local grocery store, Cash and Carry, to buy an apple and tour the store. This is a picture of the store manager and one of Dallon's teachers, Miss Brittany. This is the group that I got to walk to the store. Dallon, Joey, and Eliana. Dallon and Joey got along just fine, but Eliana was devastated on the way back and had to walk with one of the teachers.
And this is Dallon's whole class. There was only one kid missing that day. It was so much fun and I cant wait for the next trip. Plus, I cant believe how well 24 4-5 years old can act when there are so few adults to supervise. There were only 2 kids that got in trouble or caused problems and had to walk with the teachers. Very polite and good bunch of kids.

Non-School Days

So, on non-school days, our agenda at home is a little free for all. This past week it has been my mission to declutter all my shelves and my house. If you have never been in my house. The shelves were stacked full of junk. So, I bought a book shelf for our room. I put all my books and all of our dvds on the book shelf along with some pictures that were just being stored. By doing this, it cleaned up the top shelf above the computer. It was packed with books and cds. The bottom shelf was packed with papers. So, I got a box and put the papers in there until I can get a file cabinet. And then more decluttering will happen. The boxes are being stored in my closet. So, I think that all my decluttering this week and really made our home look nice and homey. I know this is very interesting, but I am so proud of myself and pleased with how it is turning out.Notice the wedding pictures of Rick and I...they have been stored under our bed since we moved in about 4 years ago. Plus, I changed all the pictures in my frames to the ones we had taken over a year ago. Don't worry we are getting new ones taken next Sunday, so more changing going on.

So, what do the boys do while I am doing all this. Some days they dont even get out of their jammies. Hey, if we arent leaving the house, then what is the problem. Plus, it makes for less laundry for me. In the first picture, the boys got out all the coloring books and crayons and had a blast coloring and watching cartoons. Dallon decided to plaster stickers all over his body. It was funny. Then Toddy caught on and he had stickers too. In the next few pictures, Toddy decided to be bucket heads. So, him and Dallon wore buckets for awhile. Todd doesnt usually put his on so he can see. Therefore, he walks really slow and runs into things. Kinda funny.

All the constant whether school or not is to have a combine derby. This is done with little tractors and only one child or with a rocking horse and a tractor car to ride. This includes both boys and usually a fight. But hey, they are boys and I just have to smile and tell them to be careful. Hopefully, the derby will end soon.
So, there is a little look into what we do on our free days.

Dallon has been in preschool for one month now. I have noticed a big change in him. The biggest, and the one I hate, he no longer takes naps. Oh well, he is 5 right. He shouldnt be taking naps, but man I would love to. So, on with preschool. He is constantly going around the house singing some song. Mind you when I ask him to sing it out loud. Doesnt happen. The only song he will sing is Five Little Monkeys. For those of you who havent seen it. I will record a shorter version so I can post it on here. He has really gotten into do the art projects in the morning. That means we have gotten past the newness of playdoh. No, my kids dont have playdoh. And no I will not buy it for them, but if some one else does, it is more than welcome. Dallon LOVES it!!! He has brought home a lot of pictures he has made. He really doesnt tell me what he does at school. It is so hard to get it out of him. But, snack time is a big hit. He loves when some one brings string cheese. He has made a few friends and even remembers their names.
So, if you are wondering about the above picture. Well, last night in the bath he thought he was being funny and making his hair look like this. Once he saw it in the mirror, I lost the battle. He made sure that it dried like that before he went to bed. Then this morning, yes it stayed, he had to make sure his hair was the same. So, this is how his hair was today for school. His dad does not like it.
So, the picture of the boys in the chair.
Dallon has liked to read books, but not a lot. Since he has been in school, we have read every day. Toddy even enjoys reading. But, he only likes the shark book and I am sick of reading it. It is even hidden for the time being. Well, yesterday Dallon was reading this book and Toddy wanted to see. So he climbed in their little chair with Dallon and looked at it. I would love to say that they sat their nicely and read the whole book. But, one page and they were fighting and Dallon kicked him out.
So Dallon is doing awesome in school and loves it. Our routine is down, but Dad comes home and it goes into a little tailspin, but we bring it right back. Dallon has also started wrestling. So stay tuned for pictures of that.

Monkey Boy

Toddy has decided that he is a monkey and can climb up on anything he wants. Whether I say no or not. About a month ago, I caught him on top of our deep freezer. So, I removed the stepping stool that he had used. Then, the other day, I caught him in Dallon's bed. Dallon has the top bunk, so I wasnt very happy. He was standing up throwing all the pillows and blankets off. He is so lucky he didnt fall over the bar. So, I got him down and told him no and spanked him. Yes, I spank my kids. Anyways, he climbed back up there. So, he got in more trouble and that stopped him for a while. Well, while I was making dinner, he decided to climb into his high chair. This would not be a problem but the tray was on there. I would think it would be difficult to climb over it, but obviously not. He stills climbs up in Dallons bed. He even fell down the ladder and that didnt stop him. He just climbs on everything. I would take pictures of him climbing in Dallons bed, but I figure I will need my hands to catch him when he falls out. So, this is him climbing on the laundry basket. Yep, he climbs on everything. If its there he climbs on it. So, if we are at your house and there is a little boy on your table. Dont worry, I usually find him on mine.

Birthday Pictures

Since Rick wasnt home for his birthday, I wanted to make sure that they celebrated it at work. So, one of the guys got a hold of me and I emailed some pictures to them. They blew them up and then had the cook make a white and chocolate cake with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream in the center. The frosting was marshmallow cream and powder sugar. That is how the decorations on the cake were made too. I guess he was surprised and had a good time. For my birthday, we headed to Kamiah for dinner and then to the bar afterwards. We had such a great time. I really appreciate every one hanging out with us!!!

Toddy's School Pics

Todd thinks he needs his picture taken every day with Dallon. He goes and stands in front of the door and waits. Well, the kid wont smile. He does a growly face. Then after the flash, a cute little smile comes on his face. He just is so proud of himself. So here are a few pictures of him.
