Lets see how much he has grown

Here are two pictures of Todd and Dallon to see how much Todd has grown:

First Week home:

Now:

Todd is 4 Weeks

Todd is now 4 weeks old. He is growing like a weed. I weighed him on Monday night and he was 8 lbs 9 oz. That is with his clothes on, but OH MY GOD!!!. I called the doctor today to give him an update. He said that was great and hopefully he will out grow the spitting up. He is doing a lot better with it. The medicine seems to be working. I have also noticed that he is out growing his newborn clothes. I guess this was to be expected, but it seems like it went too fast.
Dallon seems to be enjoying him a lot too. Todd smiles at Dallon and really enjoys all the kisses Dallon gives him. It seems to be like 100 every day. Dallon is very helpful. Sometimes too much. He is having his hard times also. He needs a lot of attention and some days I just cant give him all of my attention. That is when he acts out. I feel bad for disciplining him because he just doesnt understand. But, we are working on it.Both of the boys are great and we love them dearly. I couldnt ask for anything different. I have really enjoyed them. Daddy will be home in two weeks and everything will be fun and games again. Maybe Dallon and I can play all the time and Daddy will clean the house and take care of Todd. I doubt it, but Dallon and I will get to play more. Hopefully we get to go snowmobiling.

Taking Pictures

So I try to take pictures of both boys together, but I would also like pictures of them seperate. This is very easy when I am taking pictures of Dallon, but when it comes to taking pictures of Todd, Dallon thinks he needs to be in all of them. He are a few pictures from last night and today.

Nuzzled

Todd has been having issues. He doesnt always feel good after eating. Mainly because he spits up, but he also doesnt want to go to sleep. I think he is afraid he might miss his next meal. But, I have found a sure way to get him to sleep. He loves to nuzzle down in a blanket.

Butt Shakin

Last night, Dallon and I watched Garth Brooks on tv. He started shakin his butt. It was so hilarious. So, I recorded it.

Dallon's Baby

I think Dallon has been paying way too close attention to what I do with Todd. Ok, so I know he does because he is my constant shadow and has to help with everything. Today, he decided he could take care of his own baby. My Grandma Darlene got him one while I was in the hospital. He loves the baby. Well, today, he had to feed the baby, change the baby (he said the baby pooped so he needed wipes), and put the baby to sleep. Well, his baby didnt come with a pacifier, so I had to find one that he could have. This is a picture of him feeding the baby. This is how I kinda look in the middle of the night when I am feeding Todd. I guess he will make a great daddy way later in life.

Big Brother--Little Brother

I bought these shirts for the boys a long time ago. I figured I better get pictures before Todd outgrows his.

Todd's Three Week Checkup

Todd gained a pound in the past two weeks. He now weighs 7 lbs. 15 oz. He is a big boy. He also grew a half an inch. That makes him 21 1/4 inches long. It wasnt all great news at the doctors office though. He has been spitting up a lot in the past week. So, I asked the doctor about it. The flap that closes at his stomach doesnt always close. It has spasms and then he spits up. This is common in little boys. They will usually get it by the time they are 3 weeks and it should last only until they are 6 weeks. The bad news is that this might not be the worst of it yet. I am praying that I have already hit the worst. The good news is that Todd has a prescription that will help so his tummy doesnt spasm. Hopefully he wont spit up as much. As long as he keeps gaining weight (which obviously isnt a problem) then we wont have to do anything else.

This is a picture of my shirt after he spit up yesterday. He spit up almost a whole bottle. The other picture is of him after he got dressed and felt better. Needless to say, it hasnt been all that fun this past week. There is a lot of crying and spitting up.

Daddy's Back to Work

Two precious little boys all ready for bed,

While visions of a peaceful night dance in my head.

Although this is our first night without Dad,

Our night was not that bad.

While we are counting down until he comes back,

The boys and I will try to keep things on track.

Daddy and Todd Sleeping

I dont know what it is about my boys, but when they cuddle next to Daddy they could sleep all day. When Rick is home, Dallon will climb in bed with him and sleep until 9:00. When it is just Dallon and I he is up at 6:00. Well, Todd is taking lessons well. He will get up and eat his bottle and then cuddle next to his dad and sleep until I wake him up. Now, if I could get them to all sleep together for a few hours, then I would get some peace and quiet. Maybe a nap!!!

Todd is 2 Weeks

Todd is now 2 weeks old. Today was a long day. He was very fussy. I guess I have to have one day once in awhile. I put batteries in his chair this evening. So now it vibrates. It seems to make him happy.
Well, it is hard to believe that he has been out of me for 2 weeks. Here is a picture of him and Dallon today.

Pictures

I took the boys to Lewiston today to have their pictures taken. I think they turned out really good. Todd cooperated better than Dallon did. Oh, and last night Dallon let me cut his hair without even crying. Things seem to be looking better.

Our Test

Today, Rick decided to work on his snowmobile. That left Dallon, Todd, and I home alone. He is not far if we need him. We have managed to make it through the morning. Dallon even got a bath. I got some laundry done and have started to clean his room. Rick did come by and bring us lunch, but I think we could have managed. Todd is doing great. He just sleeps, eats, and poops. What more do I expect. Well, just half the day left. Hopefully, we pass so Dad wont worry about us when he goes back to work next week.

Dallon the Entertainer

Dallon has been running on high since we brought Todd home. He is getting a lot of attention, but keeps striving for more. The past couple of days he has been putting on a few acts for us to make us laugh. I dont know, maybe we look exhausted and he thinks we need to smile. We laugh and laugh and he just keeps going. It is so nice to have him around. He is a great big brother and doesnt seem to jealous.

By the looks of these pictures, I think he laughs harder than Rick and I.

Todd's First Checkup

Todd had his first checkup today. He weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. That is a weight gain of 6 oz. Holy Cow!!! I think I might end up with a moose on my hands. He didnt get any longer. He does have a little bit of jondis (dont know how to spell that). That is clearing up though. If it gets worse he will have to go back in 2 days. He eats like crazy. He eats 2 ounces every 2 to 3 hours. But, during the night, he sleeps up to 6 hours. I am spoiled. Dallon was the same way. This is a picture of him today.

Making the Paper

Todd and I got our picture in the local paper this week. There was also a nice article about him being the first baby of the year. Here is the link for the website.

Todd's First Outing

I convinced Rick last night to take us to my parents for dinner. I think we were all getting on each others nerves being in the house for so long. Todd must have decided his car seat was alright. He didnt cry at all.

One last Christmas Present

Dallon got one more Christmas Present yesterday. It was delivered to our house by UPS. When we got back from my parents house, Rick decided he would open. He really thought it was his box. He did not read the label. Well, within one cut, he noticed it was Dallons. He got this present from Marjie. He is so excited and that is all he talks about today. It is a remote controlled loader. It is really big.

I will take more pictures when they play with it.

Details about the Day of Delivery

So, most of you probably know that I was scheduled for a C-section on Jan. 3rd. Well, things didnt go as planned. We had a New Year's Eve party here with my brother and his wife and my parents. Nothing big, just snacks and video games. Oh and the boys drank lots of beer. We made it to bed about 1:00. I had a few pains during the night, but kinda shrugged them off. I got up the next morning and did the dishes. By this time it was 8:30. I had a few contractions and just breathed through them. Again, shrugging them off. I made breakfast for my brother, his wife, Dallon and Rick. Again more contractions and ignoring them. Around 11:00 I took Dallon to my parents house to play in the snow. My contractions were about 20 minutes apart during the day. At 4:00, they were getting more painful and closer together. So, I decided to take Dallon home and not eat dinner. Thank god!!!! (6 hours between eating and surgery) I layed on the couch when we got home and Rick continued to watch me. Mind you, I have not told any one that I was having contractions really bad. Around 6:00, Rick informed me that they were about 8 minutes apart. And yes, they were very painful. I was still in denial as was gonna wait for my appointment on Wed. But, around 7:00, I called the hospital and they made me come in. I was dialated. My contractions were about 3 minutes apart and I was in pain. By 9:00, I was in surgery having Todd. What a wonderful New Years. Oh, by the way, I had the first baby of the year at the hospital and got a lot of nice gifts.

Morning Cartoons

So, we have only been home a couple of days. Dallon and Todd seem to wake up at the same time each morning. It is around 7:00. Dallon cuddles next to me while I feed Todd. He usually watches cartoons. Daddy gets to sleep until 8:00. This is when Todd is done eating and we are up and about. But, this morning was extra special for me and Dallon and Todd. I fed Todd and Dallon decided he wanted to hold him. He held him for about 20 minutes and they watched cartoons on TV. It was so cute.
