Playdoh Fun!!!

Today I made some playdoh for the kids. They love to play with it, but I have never been brave enough to buy any. The preschool Dallon goes to mailed out a recipe with their monthly school letter. So, I made some. Guess I better find some toys to go with it. Cookie cutters and spoons just dont work I guess! Oh and yes it is edible. Toddy tried to eat it!

Christmas Vacation

Wow!!! I can actually say that now. Dallon is in school and we only get to take vacations when he is on vacation. So lets begin:

The Saturday before Christmas, Sam, Chris and I ventured to Lewiston to do ALL of my Christmas shopping. Plus, Toddy's birthday presents. It was a very scary experience that I will never do again. Thank goodness I had no kids that weekend. Got all my shopping done and was exhausted when I got home. On Sunday and Monday, I wrapped all the presents and put them under the tree. Believe it or not, Toddy did not touch any of them. On Monday night, Toddy and I ventured to Lewiston in a horrible snow storm to pick up Rick from the airport. Yeah, his first Christmas home since he started working in Alaska. On Tuesday, we headed to Kamiah to pick up Dallon. He loves to go down there and stay with Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Skip and Grandma Shelly. On Wednesday was a day to relax and get all my food shopping done so that we could head to Dixie on Christmas Day.

So, now we are to Christmas Eve. The boys were really anxious to open their presents. Dallon was going crazy and Rick really wanted Dallon to open just one (the BB Gun). Since we had to be to my parents by 1:00, we let the boys open all the presents before we left. They loved all their gifts from everyone. The boys headed to Cottonwood before me since they wanted to take the Jeep. I had to take the box of toys and all the rest of the gifts, so I took the Tahoe. I enjoyed some quiet in my house before I left. We had a wonderful afternoon and evening with my family. We had a white elephant gift exchange. It was very fun. The kids got more presents. Lets just say they got lots of books and very few toys this year. Suggestion from their mother who has to pick up all the toys.

Christmas morning the kids opened Santa gifts and then we headed to Lewiston for Christmas breakfast. We patiently waited for Jennifer, Dana, and Delainey to show up. I needed to hold that precious little girl. Dallon finally got to meet her for the first time and loves her. She puked all over Rick so that was nice. Then, we came back to Grangeville and packed up everything so we could leave for Dixie after Christmas dinner. I baked some goodies and then we headed to Bruce and Lori's for a wonderful dinner and more presents.

Finally, at about 7:00 that night, Chris and Sam and all of us headed for Dixie. Chris and Sam spent the weekend and Rick and the boys and I came home on the 2nd. We had lots of fun with sledding and snowmobile riding. Just plain relaxing. On Sunday, we had to take Rick back to the airport so he could go to work. And now we are back to a schedule and school. When I have more patience, I will download some videos!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's! I know we did and we thank everyone for the wonderful Christmas cards and all the gifts for the kids and Rick and I!
