Haircut Time

Since Dallon is in a wedding in 3 weeks, I thought he might need a haircut. He absolutely hates them, so it is a chore to even convince him. He will let me cut it with scissors, but he can't sit still that long. So, on Sunday I tried to get him to get it cut at Walmart with my dad. He was all for it until we got there. So no haircut Sunday. This morning I asked him if I could cut it. Yep Sure!!! So I propped him up in the highchair and started cutting away. He started getting restless, so I dug out the clippers and shaved the bottom. Then the crying came. So I had to finish with the scissors. I think it turned out pretty good. I have three weeks for it to grow a little or take him some where else. We will see what his Dad says when he gets home.

Opening Daddy's Presents

Rick is continually getting packages sent to our house while he is gone. They are normally airplanes or parts. Dallon gets excited and wants to open them all the time. I never let him, because then I have to deal with him being upset about not getting to fly it. Well, this morning, I let him open one of the boxes because he knew it was a plane. And Dad told him he could look at the airplane box. So we opened it.

Well, I knew that he would get upset that he couldnt fly the airplane. It is just no fun looking at a box and knowing that you have to wait until Dad gets home to fly it. Maybe we will have to put it together and see if we can fly it better than Dad can.

Carving Pumpkins or Wrestling or Both

Dallon got to spend the day with my mom yesterday. From everything I gathered it was a lot of fun. Grandma brought Dallon up to the wrestling match so he could see mommy and grandpa. As soon as my mom told him where they were going, he had to get his backpack and pack his wrestling singlet. He was determined he was going to wrestle. He got there with maple bars and his singlet. He really wanted to wrestle, but he is still too young.
They met Kimberlee and her boyfriend at our house so they could carve pumpkins the rest of the afternoon. Dallon was still determined to wrestle. He had to wear his singlet to carve the pumpkins. I don't know if he thought they were going to fight back or not. He had lots of fun. They did tell me that eveytime he got slimy stuff on his hands he shook them until it was gone. I guess I have a lot of wall washing to do.

Our Newest Wrestler

Yesterday, we took Rick to the airport to go back to work. We stopped at my grandparents for lunch and Dallon got a little gift. My aunt and uncle had my brother's first wrestling singlet. They gave it back to Dallon. He wasnt too excited about it at first. But, when we got home, it was another story. He had to put it on and wear it. He kept it on for about an hour. Although he cant wrestle until he is 5, according to Grandpa, I think he might be ready. He might need to grow a little so his singlet fits.

Baby Update

I went to the doctor yesterday for a checkup. The baby is growing really good. He finally flipped over, so he is no longer breech. That means that I am having less pain in the pelvic area. I did have to have some tests done. I do not have diabetes, but I am a little enemic. He told me to just keep taking my vitamins and he would check it next time. The baby's heart beat sounded really good. So, I only have 10 weeks left. I am very excited.

Rick, Dallon, and I have been playing with him a lot. You can tell when he pushes out a foot or his little butt. If you push back on his feet, you can chase them across my belly. It is really funny to watch.

Raking Leaves

I finally convinced Rick we should do yard work today. All of our leaves had fallen so they needed raked. Plus, I wanted a picture of Dallon in the leaves. Well, I got my picture, but Dallon would much rather pick up the leaves than be in the leaves.

Nap Time with his Favorite Things

Yesterday, Rick wore Dallon out enough to take a nap. They ate a whole bunch of chocolate first. Next thing we noticed, Dallon was sound asleep on the couch. He had curled up with his jar full of chocolate covered raisins. Since Grandpa Jerry got him hooked on them, he rarely goes a day without eating some. They are his favorite!!!

New Airplane

This is the airplane that had to be put together. Rick and Dallon are very excited about it. Here is a picture to give you an idea about how big it it and how excited they are.

As you can tell, our house is chaotic but fun.

Dad's Day

Dallon and Rick got to spend all day together yesterday. I left at 6:00 in the morning and didnt get back until 7:00 that night. I started the little kids wrestling tournaments yesterday. It was a very long day for me, but it looked like the boys had fun without me. I called them a couple of times and they didn't want to talk to me. They were busy flying or playing or sleeping.
When I got home, the house was clean. What a relief for me. Rick was also making dinner for him and Dallon. But, after looking at the camera, I noticed that they had to get the airplane out.

If you didnt notice, Dallon is still wearing his clothes from the day before. I guess they decided they didnt need to get dressed.

Exhausted

On Friday, Rick took Dallon out to fly the airplanes. They were gone for almost a total of 3 hours. I did house work while they were gone. Dallon had so much fun. But, they wrecked one of the airplanes, so there was repair work to be done when they got home. Plus, the new airplane needed to be finished. So, I put some pizzas in the oven and we had some company over. Dallon ran in circles when the boys wouldn't let him help. He played with Grandpa. He wore the rest of us out by just watching him. Finally he got wore out and fell asleep about 10:00 that night. Remember he doesn't take naps anymore.

New Car

With a new baby on the way, we decided that our little car wasn't going to fit all of us. So, Rick bought me a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. It is maroon just like his pickup. We went and did all of the paper work yesterday in Pullman. Dallon wasnt too sure of us taking the tahoe home though. We bought it from Rick's grandparents, so he was insisting that it was theirs. But, they bought a new pickup. Rick told me that the tahoe was my birthday and Christmas present. I have to say it is very nice to have a vehicle that will fit all of us.

Never a Dull Moment

Dallon and Rick play constantly while Rick is home. Rick finds some way to get Dallon to run and then he chases him. They giggle and giggle. This is how Rick looked this morning. Dallon thought he was silly and Rick kept telling him that he was gonna get him. They are always having fun.

Daddy's Home

Rick got home Friday afternoon. Therefore, on Saturday, we did nothing but relax. So yesterday, we got to do some playing. We went to Nezperce to fly airplanes with Uncle Chris. Dallon gets so excited when Dad comes home. It is all fun and games. We spent a few hours flying the airplanes. Dallon played in the dirt. Daddy won't let him fly airplanes. But he sure enjoys when they wreck and he can go search for parts.
This is a picture of Uncle Chris and Dallon coming back from a search. This wasnt the bad one.

Waiting Patiently

Yesterday was a fun-filled day. I took Dallon to Kamiah so he could see Kandi (his old babysitter) and Grandma and Grandpa. He played for a couple of hours at Kandi's house. He loved seeing the kids and they ran in circles. He really missed Kandi. I will have to take him down there more often. After that, we went to Grandma and Grandpas. He got full of candy and played with his tractors. He just loves going there. We finally got home to take a nap.

While Dallon was napping, Rick called. Not a good thing. His flight to come home today was delayed. Now he wont be home until tomorrow afternoon. So, Dallon and I are sitting and waiting patiently. It seems like time stops when it is time for Rick to come home. We wait and wait and wait for the clock to say it is time for his plane to land. At least he is coming home and not staying longer.

Boys will be Boys

Dallon is just like his dad. What more can I say. When we went to bed last night, he had a burst of energy. He kept playing and giggling. I was very tired so I just ignored him. Well, it must have made him mad and he wanted my attention. This is where he is like his dad. He sat on my head and farted. He could not stop giggling. I guess maybe I should pay more attention to him and then he wont fart on me.

Finally, when he calmed down, he decided he needed to talk to the baby. He layed there and rubbed my belly and talked to him for at least a half hour. I am glad that he is so accepting. He just wants him to come out though. ME TOO!!!!

Fun with Grandma

Dallon got to spend yesterday with Grandma while Sam and I went to Lewiston to do wedding stuff. I packed him up at 7:30 and dropped him off with Grandma so they could go walking with Marlene. He used to do this when I was working and my mom was taking him to the daycare. He absolutely loves it. Although, yesterday was very cold in the morning. He thought he was special because I made him hot chocolate and put it in one of my thermos cups. So he drank hot chocolate and rode in the stroller. He even got to ride his four wheeler yesterday. Grandma said his was a very good boy. So, I brought him back a new toy. He got a Thomas the Train Aqua Doodle. He loves it. It has a train that follows the water track he makes.

Hard-Worker

Dallon and I went to Elk City with my parents, Chris, and Sam to get some firewood. Since I am pregnant, I could not lift any of it so I was the supervisor. Dallon on the other hand, wanted to be in the middle of everything. Since the firewood we were getting was already split, it wasn't very hard to get. There were lots of pieces that were Dallon's size. He helped stack the firewood and he helped put the firewood in the trailer. Every time some one handed him a piece of wood he said thankyou. Sometimes the pieces were a little heavy and he would drop them. Then he would say that was too heavy. He was a trooper. He didn't even take a break.

Update on Colds

Dallon and I are still fighting our colds. It is not very much fun. He is worse than I am. He has a stuffy nose and coughs once in a while. Yesterday, both of us felt pretty good, but today was a different story. We were both tired. I didnt even have to fight Dallon to take his nap. He fell asleep at 1:00 and I woke him up at 4:30. I didn't take a nap though. I started sewing together the boys quilts. I realized I have a lot of work to do. The good thing, I have until Christmas. This evening, we both seem to be feeling better. Dallon has lots of energy. I hope he gets some sleep tonight.

Baby Appointment

What a great birthday present. My active son had an appointment today. He has grown quite a bit. I only gained 3 pounds in the last four weeks. Yeah!!! He was very active again when the doctor was trying to get his heartbeat. The doctor said everything looks good. The only thing I have to worry about is the cold that I am starting to get. If it gets worse I will have to go back. It is starting to get close. I am now going from appointments every 4 weeks to appointments every 3 weeks.

Dallon got to go with me again. The only thing that he gets worried about is when they are going to give him a sucker.

Feeling a Friends Pain

Today, Dallon and I took our dog Molly to the vet. Molly and Dallon seem to be best friends. He is always checking on her to make sure she is ok. He loves to just sit and pet her or lay on her to watch a movie. Anyways, Molly had to get her shots today. I told the vet to just take Molly because Dallon screams when he sees needles. Well, he must have known what was happening in there because he cried the whole time she was getting her shots. As soon as he saw her, he was better. The vet said Molly didn't wince or anything. I guess Dallon did it all for her. When we got home, he was worried about her all day long. Molly is fine. It must have worn Dallon out though, he fell asleep at 6:30.

Scrapbooking Night

Last night, Dallon and I went to my parents house for our first Monday night scrapbooking party. We had lots of fun. Sam and I finished the invitations for her wedding. My mom and Marlene worked on their grandchildrens scrapbooks. Mom finished two pages and Marlene finished three. After Dallon managed to dump out all of the toys, he convinced Grandma and Marlene to give him stickers and the scraps of their pictures so he could make his own page. I have to say he did a fine job. He then convinced me to give him a candy bar and turn on a movie. He sat there long enough to feed the cat too many treats and get in trouble. He will probably enjoy when his dad comes home because then he won't have to spend a every Monday evening with a bunch of women.
