Santa Came

Dallon was insistent on setting out cookies and milk for Santa this year. He really got into it. So, I was sure to make cookies so there would be some. Well, on the way home Christmas Eve, he fell asleep and didnt wake up. So I wasnt going to put out milk and cookies, I was just gonna say I did. Well, Rick called and told me I had to leave crumbs and one bite of a cookie on the plate and about one drink of milk left in the glass. So, I did. Dallon was so tired that night, that I had to wake him up at 8:00 that morning and ask him if he wanted to see what Santa brought him. He told me he could see to get down from his bed so I had to get him down. By then, he could see and he ran out. At first he wanted to open Rick's presents and then noticed the stockings on the couch. I told him to wait and see if Santa ate the cookies and drank the milk. His expression was priceless. "OH MY GOSH!!!" were his exact words.
This is what he looked like when he saw all the presents Santa gave him:
And Toddy really didnt care...he was pretty goofy that morning.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas even though Rick could not spend it with us. As you know, Christmas Eve my dad and brother came over for the morning. Then, in the afternoon we went to my parents house. We had a wonderful dinner and snacks and then opened up presents. The boys and I got many nice gifts. It got pretty late and the boys were getting crabby, so we headed home and didnt get to play any of our new games. That is coming though.

On Christmas day, we got up and opened Christmas presents from Santa. That will be another post. And then, we headed to Rick's Aunt and Uncles for dinner. Lori prepared a wonderful dinner and we spent the afternoon with Bruce, Lori, Gma Skip, Gpa Jerry, Curtis and Lacey. The boys got lots of toys to play with. They were well entertained while we were there. I got a very nice digital picture frame from Lori.

Christmas was very nice this year and we are very thankful for all the gifts that everyone got the boys and Rick and I. Thank you for a wonderful holiday season.

Bunk Beds for Christmas

Dallon and Todd got new bunk beds for Christmas from my parents. They were much needed. My dad and my brother came over on Wednesday morning to set them up. Dallon and Todd really wanted to help, but were more in the way. Since I only had one mattress, I had to run down to the furniture store and buy another one. Thank goodness they were having a sale. So Chris and I came home with a mattress. I had already washed the boys bedding so I could make their beds. I knew Dallon wanted to sleep in his. He wasnt going to go to bed the night before because he was waiting for Grandpa to put up his new bed. Well, the beds were up and made. I decided to leave Toddy's crib up incase he didnt sleep in the other bed. We got home Wednesday night and Dallon slept in his bed all night. Matter of fact, I woke him up at 8:00 in the moring and asked him if he wanted to see what Santa brought him. Todd slept in his until 2:00 in the morning. This is good!!! Since he has been sick he hasnt slept well at all. He is usually awake around 11:00 right when I doze off. So the boys love their beds and there is no longer a crib in the room. They have slept well in them for the past three nights. Dallon is always excited to go to bed. If Toddy is awake then he gets the giggles...he just loves it.

Videos of Dallon Riding His Snowmobile

Santa's Arrival

Santa came early to Dixie. On Saturday night, Tammy and Brenda arranged for Santa to come to Dixie and deliver presents to everyone. Dallon's face was priceless. He really enjoyed seeing Santa and was a great helper with handing out the presents. He got a crane and absolutely loves it. Thank you Santa for visiting and thanks Tammy and Brenda for everything.

On Thursday, we left for Dixie. Dallon got his new snowmobile and was itching to ride it. When we got up there, there was only about 7 inches of snow. Enough for Dallon to ride. He rode all afternoon. Even burning a tank of gas. On Friday, people started arriving. The Ellers were hosting a Christmas party for Kings Thrones at there Cabin. Dallon's girlfriend, Ashlyn, and her family should up and spent the weekend. They are part of King's Thrones. We got included in the Christmas party. It was a lot of fun. Dallon gave Ashlyn a ride on his snowmobile and they had a blast. Saturday evening the power went out. No big deal we still had fun. Before dinner, we got a surprise visit from Santa at the Eller's shop. That will be another post with lots of pictures. On Sunday, everyone left. Dallon was a little sad, but still had his snowmobile so he had fun. On Monday, Dallon rode all day and played outside. Rick joined him for most of it, but it was extremely cold. Therefore, Toddy didnt spend too much time outside, but did go for a little ride around town. He loves the snowmobile. On Tuesday, we loaded everything up and came home. We had so much fun. By the time we left, there was only about 10 inches of snow. Hopefully when we go back in 2 weeks there is a lot more snow.

Christmas

So, we had Christmas this morning. Rick wont be home so we thought we would have it today. I dont know who was more excited, Rick or Dallon. You see yesterday, Rick, Dallon and Grandpa Jerry went to Montana to get Dallon's present. Dallon thought they went to get parts for Rick snowmobile. The dealership loaded up a crate with black plastic wrapped around it into the back of Rick's pickup and home they came. Well, after the boys were sound asleep. Rick and I opened the black plastic wrapping and brought the present into the living room in front of the tree. We then proceeded to wrap it back up in wrapping paper with a big bow. This morning the boys got to open their presents. Dallon had to save the big present for last. It was so great to Dallons face when he opened the big one. Keep in mind we told him that it was a big helicopter to fly outside. Dallon got a lot of games and clothes (mainly Spiderman) and Toddy got mostly clothes. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas like we enjoyed today.

Starting to Decorate

The past week has been pretty crazy. On Thursday, we were all set to go to Lewiston early and have pizza with my grandparents and then go walk through the Christmas lights. Well, that didnt happen. Todd ended up getting the flu really bad. He was vomitting and had the runs. I even ended up calling the doctor. They told me to give him clear liquids and then if he gets a fever then to call the next morning. So, at 9:00, we headed to Lewsiton to pick up Rick. He flew in that night, thank goodness, I was really needing him. Friday, we woke up and Todd had a fever and had not had anything to drink since about 5:00 the night before. Plus, he was only awake for about 2 hours on Thursday and it was starting to worry me. So, I called the doctor. I took him in at 11:15 and got back home at 12:30. I had to take him in for blood work. He was borderlined dehydrated and had a viral infection. They put him on an antibiotic for 3 days and a liquid diet. I am happy to say that he is feeling better and eating now. Anyways on to my decorating. On Saturday we decided to decorate the house for Christmas. Yeah!!! Chris and Sam spent the weekend with us and helped witht the tree. The boys went and got it and set it up and Sam and I went and got the decorations. We will be having Christmas early since Rick goes back to work next week. I will post pictures of that when it happens. It will be one to see!!! Here are some pictures of the boys putting the train together. Todd loves to chew on the railroad signs and Dallon loves to run the train until it drives us crazy.

Only 1 More Month!!

Toddy is 11 months old today. Holy cow has time gone by fast. And my oh my has he grown. He weighs 25 pounds now. Wearing 24 month clothes. Wants to eat everything in sight even if it is not edible. As of Thanksgiving day, he has 6 teeth. Four on top and two on bottom. And I might add that they are very sharp. He is now mainly on solid foods and drinks whole milk. The bottle is still around. It has been a process to get him to hold it on his own but he now does. So, hopefully, we can switch to sippy cups. He is quite the little dare devil. He will pull himself up to things and then if he can crawl on top of it he will. Not so graceful about getting down, but he seldom cries when he hits his head on the floor. He can throw a great tantrum if he really wants to. I dont usually encourage this, but sometimes there is just no pleasing the kid. He can saw four words. He says mama, dada, nonono, and uh-oh. He can shake his head yes and no. He is always full of giggles. He can pick a great fight with his brother and usually ends of winning because mom has stopped it. He loves to play tractors and cars with Dallon. They end up in his mouth most of the time, but I think he has fun. His newest thing is waving good-bye. So enough for now, next month he will be ONE!!!
