The Boys Came to Play

And play they did!!! Melany brought the boys up to play today. They got here at noon and left at 7:00. They played non-stop. It was a lot of fun as you can tell by Dallons room. Man was he exhausted. It only took about 5 minutes before he was asleep. Todd on the other hand, got his second wind. Yeah!!! It is so nice for them to play together. They are really enjoying each other. And you can really tell that Trace and Dallon are related. WOW, they act the same. Todd and Trevin are pretty mellow and just watch from the sidelines. Smart boys, then they dont get into trouble.

The Start to Fun with Cousins

Rick's sister, Melany, is here from Kansas for about two weeks. She has two little boys, Trace and Trevin. They are 2 and 1. They are staying in Kamiah with Rick's grandparents. So, we will be down there a lot to visit and play. These pictures are from past two days. The kids get along really well. It is too bad they live so far away.

Camping

We went for our first camping trip of the season. It was typical weather for Memorial Day. Rain, Rain, Rain!!! We did manage to get in one four-wheeling ride. It was Todd's first ride and he did awesome. He slept all the way. Both the boys did really good camping. Dallon slept in the bunk bed for the first time. It was hard to keep him out of the mud. Typical boy!!! Todd wasnt fussy at all. He had a runny nose, but he never really got upset about it. The boys and I went up on Friday afternoon to help Gpa set up camp and then the rest of them came up that night. Dallon found snails all weekend and was fascinated with them. We came home on Sunday morning. Rick's sister is here with her two boys for two weeks, so we came out to see them. That will be another post.

Weekend Fun

We spent this weekend in Lewiston at my Grandparents. Friday night my sister and sister-in-law graduated from college. What a long evening. It was about 95 degrees in Lewiston. I quickly realized that hot weather makes both of my boys cranky. Todd wasnt happy until we got back to grandmas and he could lay on the floor in just his diaper. He rolled over 4 times for my grandpa. From his back to his tummy. No one else got to see it. And, he hasnt done it since. Saturday we went to St. Maries for a wedding. Again, Todd wasnt happy until he was on the floor in just his diaper. Dallon wasnt happy until he could get outside and run and play. Today we went shopping and then to my parents for a bbq and then came home. What an exhausting weekend. The boys are happy to be home. And so am I. Thank you grandma and grandpa for letting us terrorize your house this weekend. Dallon loved it and wants to know when he can come back. Congratulations girls on job well done. We are very proud of you both.

Ready to go hunting?!?

Yesterday I got the boys ready to go to my parents for scrapbooking. Not realizing that I had dressed them both in camo. I had to take a picture to send to Rick. I was thinking Todd looked really chubby in his shirt. Well, Dallon got in the picture. That is when I noticed. They both may look cheery here, but we have been fighting the flu in our house since Saturday night. Dallon has it really bad, but Todd just doesnt want to eat and is sleeping a lot more than usual. Hopeful it is almost gone. There has been no vomitting today so far.

Still Loving Each Other

Dallon is constantly asking me if he can hold Todd. I usually dont let him. I just tell him to play with him on the floor. Todd wiggles so much that it is hard to hold him. Yesterday, I just gave in. Dallon told me to get him a pillow. His Dad always needs a pillow. So I got him a pillow and placed Todd in his arms. It lasted long enough for me to get two pictures. At least Dallon still wants to be around him. I just cant wait till Todd gets a hold of one of his toys to see what happens.

Pictures of Dallon

This weekend we went to Lewiston for Mother's Day. We had to go do some shopping before we went to my grandparents for the day. When we got to Home Depot, Dallon noticed that some of thier shopping carts are shaped like race cars. Well, if you didnt know, his favorite driver is Tony Stewart and he drives the Home Depot car. So, through out the store Dallon was telling everyone he was Tony Stewart.

And, yesterday it was a nap or lunch. He wanted more juice and I told him he had to eat some lunch first. He layed down his head and dozed off. I should have taken him out when he layed his head down, but I really wanted this picture.

More of the Bouncer

So I had a request for more pictures of Todd in his bouncer. So here ya go!!!!!

New Toy

Rick will be at work for 6 weeks this time. I think he decided getting pictures everyday just doesnt cut it. So, before he left, we bought two web cams. This way, he can see all of us while he is talking to us. We set them up before he left to see how they worked. We had it all set up under MSN Messenger. When he got to work, we could talk to each other but couldnt see each other. So, in my spare time, I researched other ways. The website for the cameras said to try skype.com, so I set up accounts for Rick and I and then told him to download it. We like this way better than msn. We can see Rick on full screen and he can see us on full screen. Plus, we dont have to record what we want to say. You can just talk like you are on the phone. We love this. What a great idea Daddy!!!!!

Time for a New Bed?!?

Todd is growing by the day I think. He has started putting himself to sleep. All I do is lay him in his bassinet and he plays a little and then goes to sleep. I dont know if I am ready for this, but he has to grow. I really like cuddling with him when he is falling asleep. The past few nights, I have watched him do this and have noticed that he is getting really big for the bassinet. I think the crib is in our immediate future. Maybe then he will start rolling if I put him in the crib. When he goes in his crib then he gets to share a room with his brother. Wow another big adjustment. I dont know if I can handle all these changes. So what do you think? Is he getting too big.

New Car Seat

Over the weekend, I decided that Todd was too heavy to carry around in his infant carrier. It is too bulky and with two kids way too inconvient. So, when we took Rick to the airport on Wednesday, we stopped at Shopko and bought Todd a new car seat. He seems to really like it. It is one that he can use as a booster also. Therefore, I dont have to buy anymore car seats. Oh, and Aunt Sam, it is the one that you picked out.

Wow 4 Months Already!!!

Yesterday, Todd turned 4 months old. Nothing really to report. No doctor appointment for this month. I can just tell you that he is getting really fat. He can now roll from his tummy to his back and almost from his back to his tummy. I think his belly is too fat for that. He has been eating cereal with bananas in the morning and cereal with a vegetable in the evening. Plus a six ounce bottle about every 2 hours. He is still spitting up quite a bit, but I hope we are at the peak of this. He is still sleeping through the night and gets up around six in the morning. He is getting too big for his basinet so I think we are going to graduate to the crib in the next month. He is very giggly and loves to have attention from anyone. And the bouncer, he absolutely loves that thing.

What Has Been Going On?

Well, last Thursday, the boys and I went to Lewiston at midnight to pick Rick up from the airport. I put them in their new matching jammies and coats. They were so cute. Dallon stayed awake until he got to see Dad. On the way home he went back to sleep. Todd fell asleep before we left to go down there and didnt wake up till the next morning. That leaves Friday for a day of relaxing. We nap and play and that is about it. On Saturday, Todd and I went to Lewiston for a baby shower. It was a day of shopping for baby stuff. I think that my boys made out way better than the baby did. Todd ended up with a new boucer and lots of clothes. Dallon got clothes and toys. Rick got a video game and movie. So, I guess everyone was happy when I got home. On Sunday, we went to my parents for dinner and to visit with a few of my relatives. Dallon played outside almost all day, since I told them we went going to my parents until all the yard work was done. Then Monday morning we got up and packed and left for Dixie. We didnt get home until Thursday afternoon. It was a nice and relaxing trip. Although, it snowed almost the whole time we were there. I am really sick of snow. I know Rick would be mad if I said that, but I really am. And today, well exactly as last Friday. Sat around and did nothing.
