Dallon's Quilt

So, I got Dallon's quilt done just in time for Christmas. I have not yet finished the baby's quilt. If you look closely it says his name on it.

Life is Rough

Dallon has pretty much been relaxing the past couple of days. His dad was suppose to come home last night, but could not. The wind is blowing too hard for them to fly out. So, we are praying that he gets out today and will be home tomorrow night. We miss him soooo much. He has been gone for 4 1/2 weeks. So, yesterday and today, Dallon has decided that he doesnt want to get out of his jammies. Which is fine with me. But, Santa Claus brought him a pair of John Deere slippers. He will not take them off of his feet. It makes it kind of a pain because he wont even put shoes on when we leave the house. He has had them on since Christmas morning. He took them off long enough for baths and to ride on the tractor.

Baby Checkup

I just got back from the doctor. The baby is growing good. No sign of going into labor. So I am still scheduled for Jan 3rd. My right arm has been really sore. He told me women who are pregnant could develop carpultunnel. He said to stop using it as much and it should feel better. It will also help with the swelling. I go back Wednesday for blood drawing and final checkup.

Merry Christmas

I am beginning to believe Dallon thinks Christmas lasts all year. He got to start opening presents on Friday night. We spent Friday evening with Rick's family so that Dallon's Grandpa Todd could open his presents. Dallon even got to talk to Santa Claus that night. On Monday, we spent the day with my family. Dallon opened tons of presents. Then on Tuesday we had breakfast in Lewiston and dinner in Kamiah. Dallon opened more presents. What a spoiled kid. Then when Daddy comes home we get to have Christmas again. I think he thinks it is nice having Daddy and Grandpa work in Alaska cuz then Christmas lasts a long time. Here is a slide show of Dallon during Christmas.

Sledding

Dallon and I spent all weekend at my parents house. Dallon got to enjoy sledding on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Everyone froze but him.

Although he said he wasnt cold, he is a picture of him after we got his snow clothes off. Check out how red those cheeks are.

Pregnant Picture

I took a picture of myself for Rick to see. I had to use the bathroom mirror, so it is not the greatest. We will see if he checks the website to see it. This is at 38 weeks pregnant.

Dallon wants to go OUTSIDE

Dallon wants to go outside so bad today. I won't let him because it is way too cold, raining, and the wind is blowing like crazy. Maybe with the attire he is wearing he can pretend he is outside.

Baby Checkup

I went to the doctor this afternoon. The baby has slowed down on his movement, so the doctor told me to watch that. He tried to wake him up from his little nap, but didnt work. The heart beat sounds good. If he doesnt start moving I will have to have a stress test done. But, since I have been home from the doctor, he hasnt stopped moving. I do have swelling in my feet and hands. Just something to keep an eye on. He has grown a lot in the past 2 weeks, but still needs to grow for just 2 more weeks. The C-section is scheduled at the hospital for Jan. 3rd. I have to go back to the doctor next week. Hopefully, my last appointment being pregnant.

Scrapbooking Christmas Party

Last night, we had our Christmas Party for our Monday night scrapbooking. We all bought gift bags with about $15 worth of scrapbooking supplies and then exchanged them. We all got really cool stuff. Dallon even got a gift bag that we all contributed to. We figured it might last for 2 nights of scrapbooking. There were lots of stickers. That is his favorite.

Dallon tried using the scissors last night. We all got a kick out of watching him. His mouth opens and closes as the scissors open and close. It is hilarious.

Officially Done Christmas Shopping

Yesterday, my mom and I took Dallon to Lewiston to do some grocery shopping and finish my Christmas shopping. I wanted to get to Costco so I could bulk up on groceries before the baby arrives. With only 2 1/2 weeks to go, I really didn't want to go down there when it got closer. I am getting more sore and it is hard for me to shop all day long. I did get a lot of groceries, so Rick can cook dinner after I have the baby. Heaven forbid that him and Dallon starve. He will have to make runs to the store for bread and milk and things like that though. I think he can handle that.

While at Costco, I finished my Christmas shopping. How nice to get everything in one store. I even bought Rick a gift. I hope he enjoys it. So now to finish wrapping and make some goodies and I will be ready for Christmas.

The View from our Front Window

Dallon has been in heaven the past week. The people that live across the street from us own a bunch of old john deere tractors. He has one set up in his yard that has lights decorating it. I thought that I would share this with you.

The Grinch got a Heart

So everyone has been calling me a Grinch cause I didn't want to decorate for Christmas. I have no energy and didn't want to have to worry about putting it all away before the baby came. Remember there is only one week between Christmas and when the baby comes.

But, Dallon has been so excited for Christmas that I gave in a little. I bought a fiber optic tree today and a couple of stockings. I bought one for Dallon and one for the baby. Most of the presents I bought are at my parents, because they have a bigger tree. Here is a picture of our Christmas tree and the stockings.

So, I did get a heart and I know that it won't be that hard to put away. Now, we will see how I feel on Christmas. I hope wonderful so Dallon can see all of his family.

My Newest Discovery

So, Rick makes fun of me because I watch all the baby shows on TLC. But, by watching them, I discovered something that will really help us out. This couple were remodeling their kitchen and had no where to store the bottles and baby formula. So they bought a storage container on wheels and used it. I am glad I saw this episode. We have a small house and their is not much room in the kitchen to store a hole bunch of bottles and formula. So, last weekend I bought me a storage container. It has all the bibs, bottles, and soon to be formula in it. After the formula is done and we get to start baby food, then it will store all the baby food. So, it pays to watch shows like this even though we have already had one baby.

MY LITTLE SNOWMAN

Well, we got about 6 inches of snow last night and it is still snowing. Dallon begged me all morning to take him out. So, I gave in. I needed to shovel the sidewalk anyways. Dallon decided that he needed to shovel the grass.

Then he decided he would make a snow angel. Maybe this is his way of showing me that he can be good. But, I really doubt it.

Next, he thought he could catch the snowflakes on his tongue. I was hoping he was thinking about taking a nap.

I thought it would be a struggle to get him to come in. I swear he never gets cold. But, he was alright coming in when I told him I would make him some hot chocolate. I am sure I will have to take him out later.

Nothing Will Stop Him

Dallon and I went to my parents house yesterday. It was very cold and snowing at times. That was not about to stop. He really needed to ride his four-wheeler. We told him he had to put on his coat, gloves, and helmet and he could. He didnt understand why his coat and gloves because he had been playing outside for about 20 minutes without them already. But, he gave in. The grass was slick and he got stuck a few times, but he got off and pushed himself out and got right back on. He had so much fun.

Exhausted

I guess it must be exhausting preparing for a little brother. This is Dallon during his nap today. I was talking to his dad on the phone and Dallon was snoring away. I put it on speaker phone and Rick started laughing.

Baby Update

Well, I went to the doctor today for a checkup. Everything is going good. The doctor says that I have 4 weeks left. The baby needs to grow some more. This is just fine with me. I would rather have him healthy and have his dad home. As long as he keeps being active, I don't have to go back for 2 weeks.

Dallon's Weekend

Dallon had a wonderful weekend. He pretty much got to do anything he wanted. Saturday, I took him to the wrestling meet. He got to wrestle with grandpa and some of the kids. Then, he waited all day for this, he got to ride back to my parents house in the school bus. He loved it. My sister came up from Lewiston and played in the snow with him for a couple of hours. She was being to wonder if he has any feeling. She was freezing and he didn't seem to get cold. Looks like he takes after his dad. After they came back inside, we finished decorating my parents house for Christmas. It was fun.

Sunday morning, Dallon and I got up and got the baby clothes ready to wash and washed all the bottles. Then, it was back to Grandpa and Grandma's house to play in the snow some more. He even convinced Grandpa to get the four-wheeler out and pull him on the sled. It was a lot of fun watching him.

Who Could Resist?

While Rick is working, Dallon thinks that he needs to sleep with me. I guess Mom isnt suppoesed to sleep alone. Although right now, it would be really nice. But, who could resist waking up to this sweet little boy every morning. And yes, most of the time I have to sleep around him. He loves to cuddle.

Boy was he mad at me for taking this picture. It woke him up.
