Combine Derby
Yesterday, we went to the combine derby in Nezperce. It was a ton of fun. Dallon really enjoyed this year. I dont know if it was cause Uncle Chris had his own combine or if it was because there was a Spiderman combine. Chris didnt win but it was fun to watch. Aunt Sam took Dallon down on the field so that he could do the chicken. He loved it. We also got to watch some lawn mowers race around a dirt track. It looked pretty scary to me. After the derby we went to Chris and Sams house for a bbq for my brothers birthday. It was a nice day. Happy Birthday Chris!!!

My New Best Friend

So, Rick and I got one of these mini choppers for our wedding. So you have to imagine a much older model. Anyways, I have never really used it since I have a hand chopper. Well, my youngest son gave me a new reason to use it. You see, he really likes his food. So instead of feeding him two of the stage 2 jars of food at a time, I thought I would upgrade him to stage 3. I figured since he had teeth he could handle chewing the little chunks. Boy was I ever wrong. As soon as those little chunks hit the back of his throat the big chunks came up. Gross and disgusting!!!! Cant handle this. So, I thought I would see if he could chew on the baby meat sticks they have. Wrong again. He gets the skin in his mouth and the chunks come up again. So this is where the chopper has come to be my friend. I now chop up the meat sticks and add then to a vegetable for lunch and then for dinner the chopper gets to chop up the stage 3 meals. These include the jar of baby food that is already pured with a few vegetable chunks and rice or noodle chunks in it. If the food is not chopped up enough, the chunks still come up out of him. There is just one thing I dont understand. He can eat his cookies just fine. I guess I can look on the bright side, at least he has a gag reflux. I have been contemplating buying another one to keep in the diaper bag so I will always have one with me?!? Sorry if I grossed anyone out.

A Week of Firsts
Last week was a week of firsts for the boys and I. So, what did Todd do? Well, he can sit up from his back. Most kids roll to their tummy to sit up. Not my kid. He sits up from laying on his back. This is very helpful. Now we are really working on crawling. It is getting closer, but not close enough. Todd thought he would get two firsts in this week. He finally cut his first tooth on top. I am not very excited about this because he likes to grind them together. The other one is very close to cutting through. He should be making beautiful music within a week with his grinding.

Dallon finally had his first day of school this week. I know, I know!!! I am really late on getting him started. We have been fighting illnesses and I wanted to get through the holiday first. So we finally started and he loves it. Here is a picture of him doing his art project on the first day. And a picture of it finished. This month he is learning the letters A, B, and C. He is learning the numbers 1, 2, and 3. And everything is dealt around red, circles, and farms. It is a lot of fun.

And our final first. The first episode of the Biggest Loser started this week. Dallon didnt stay awake to watch it. But, I recorded it so he got to see it the next day. I kinda fell asleep too. So, Tuesday nights will be our nights for pizza (I know, how healthy for watching a healthy show) and watching the Biggest Loser. We dont have a favorite yet, but I am sure we will after the next episode.

The Start to Wedding Activities

Well, if you didnt know you do now. My sister and her boyfriend are getting married June 6, 2009. On Sunday, we got to start the fun wedding activities.
But, wait, lets start with Saturday night. Rick had to get ready to go to hunting camp. So, we were running around looking for all the stuff he had misplaced the year before. Fun I know, but the wife always knows were it is. I also had to get all the boys stuff ready for the next day. I was leaving at 6:30. Dallon stayed with my Dad on Sunday while Todd went with me. By 8:00 Saturday night, the pizza was done and we almost had everything ready to go for the next day. I gave Dallon his jammies and cut up his pizza. Rick and I finished and sat down to eat our pizza. Next thing we know, Dallon had fallen asleep while eating his pizza. Guess he had a busy day.
So, Sunday, we left on time and dropped Dallon off at my dads and picked up my mom. Headed to Lewiston to get Kimberlee. We took her wedding dress shopping. Her appointment was at noon at David's Bridal in Spokane. She kept telling us that it would take 1/2 hour for her to try on dresses and 1/2 hour for me. Well, at 3:30 we were finally getting Kim's finally dress off and getting me out of the dress that only took 5 minutes for me to try on. Her dress is beautiful. But, cant post pictures. It is a surprise. We ate at TGIFridays and headed home. Got back to Cottonwood at 9:00.
So pretty calm day. Not really. Todd was very good but got very restless on the way home. Stopped to drop Kim off and he peed on her floor. Then we got to my parents and Dallon had an accident during the day. He got superglue on his fingers. Not to worry, it peeled off the next morning. But, him and grandpa had fun. And no one will ever tell what they ate for lunch.

Only 4 More Months
Todd only has four more months till he is 1!!!! Yep, better start Christmas shopping, 1 week earlier than Todd's bday. So, that would make the kid 8 months old. So, what can I say. He is a very big boy. He weighs 22 lbs. That is offically from the doctor on Tuesday. He does not crawl yet, but getting closer. But why crawl when you can roll everywhere. He has his 2 bottom teeth and one of the top ones is cutting as I am typing this. He is very crabby. If you had read the earlier post, he is also fighting a cold. He plays with Dallon and his toys for hours at a time. It is so nice that they get along well. Yeah right, Todd is the bully in that relationship. He takes toys from Dallon and then Dallon will take them back. Todd will scream at the top of his lungs until Dallon gives it back. Yep, I might have my hands full. He may look sweet and innocent but there is a devil in there. But, you just gotta love him.
Remember Christmas is less than 4 months away.....oh yeah and so is Todd's birthday!!! Two shopping lists for him. Great!!! What am I getting myself into. Rick better get another job to pay for all the presents!!!
Labor Day Weekend
Over Labor Day Weekend, my family and I went to Sun Lakes Washington for a family reunion. We left on Friday and came home on Monday. It was a long weekend due to both kids having really bad colds. But, Dallon had tons of fun. I took him paddle boating and he went minature golfing like ten times. He loves to golf and cant get enough. He did a lot of bike riding also. And, Emma played all the time with him. Usually you couldnt find one with out the other. They colored together. Tonia brought her icee machine and I brought pudding, oreo cookies and gummy worms for the kids to make dirt and worms. Thank you Amy for running the show on that one. All in all it was fun, but I am glad to be home and resting. I had to take the kids to the doctor on Tuesday. They are on medicine for their colds, but getting better.
