Our New House

For those of you that dont know....we have bought a house in Kamiah. We absolutely love it!!! The kids are enjoying their playroom and yard. We live at the dead end of a road and there is no traffic. This is the view of the back yard out from the garage. This is the living room.
This is the kitchen....very open and I love it....there is a dishwasher.

This is the back of the house. There is a 2 car attached garage on the left side. There are glass french doors to come outside from it.

And this is our wonderful home!!!!

Are you Ready? Here is an Update!

So, here is my update! There will be no pictures, my computer crashed so I am on the laptop!

The past 2-3 weeks have been very crazy. We found a house to rent in Kamiah. So, once I got the word that we were renting, I started to pack up our house. I had everything packed within 5 days. So, we lived on just the necessities and boxes were everywhere. My goal was to have everything packed when Rick got home so we could concentrate on other stuff that needed to be done the following week. And yes, I succeeded. Rick came home on a Thursday. On Saturday, Dallon had graduation from preschool and his carnival. That was so fun. We are very proud of him. Now we have a Kindergartener!!!! Sunday, we went down to Kamiah to clean the new house. Needed a lot more cleaning than what I thought. Monday and Tuesday were my days to do registration at Dallon's preschool. I am on the board, so this is my responsibility. Great timing I know! Wednesday afternoon, we went back to Kamiah to finish cleaning and brought down a few boxes. Friday we officially moved into our house and stayed the night. We were supposed to have phone and internet Friday, but Qwest managed to mess that up, but oh well. Saturday, I did a lot of unpacking. We got Directv set up and then had a relaxing bbq and rented the UFC fight. It was nice to have company and relax. Sunday, Rick got to have his relaxing day and went golfing. Monday, I took Dallon to the movies in 3D....he wasnt sure about that! We also did a lot of shopping to get the rest of the stuff for the house. Such as curtains.....I think these are pretty important. Tuesday, Rick was pretty sick. So, I just did stuff around the house. Then, on Wednesday, the boys and I took Rick to the airport and got him on his way back to work. So, here we are on Thursday! I am still unpacking some boxes and doing some decorating. But, I am taking my time and relaxing. I am hoping the sun starts to shine so the boys and I can enjoy some nice warm weather.

We want to thank every one who helped us move. It was very nice of you!!!

Sick Sick Sick

That is about all that has been going on the past week. Dallon went to the doctor a week ago last Monday. He got put on antibiotics for a terrible cold. Tuesday night Toddy started to run his fever. It topped at 103.5. So Thursday morning, took him to the doctor. The doctor decided to check me too. So Toddy and I were both on antibiotics. Friday was the worst day for us. None of us felt very good. Rick took all the cold medicine he could find so that he wouldnt get this yucky stuff. Saturday morning he left for work. Toddy and I were so sick that I had to have my dad drive him to Lewiston to catch the plane. Just when I thought maybe we would be on the mend. Sunday I woke up with an ear infection in one ear. Toddy still had his fever but, it broke that night. Monday, yes a week later, Toddy and Dallon seemed to be very healthy. Full of energy and constantly in trouble. So, where does that leave mom.....TOTALLY WORE OUT!!! Needless to say, I woke up with double ear infections this morning and now am starting my second dose of antibiotics.
Saturday morning I finally got Toddy to take a nap after Rick left. He hadnt slept a lot while he was sick.

On another note, since I have been sick, I really havent had time to tell everyone that I have started my tupperware business again. So, please book some parties and earn some free tupperware!

Spring Break!!!

So, Spring Break started a week ago Friday. And yes, Dallon made sure his started then. After school, I took him down to Kamiah so he could spend a week with his grandparents. He was so excited that he got to stay 7 days. Poor Toddy had to stay home with mom, but not the whole time! On Saturday, I decided I needed to shampoo my carpets. I got up and got Toddy ready and took him to spend the day with my parents. Check him out....doesnt he look so cute!
Uncle Chris and Aunt Sam spent Saturday night with us and then we went to Lewiston with them on Sunday. We had a great time!!! I got all my Easter gifts bought (pictures after Easter of course). Thanks for taking us.

Monday was pretty much a lounge day....as you can tell! Toddy didnt have Dallon to watch cartoons with, so CJ had to do! They have a love hate relationship and it can get pretty crazy!
Tuesday...we headed to Ferdinand to the vet...CJ need shots and then to Grandma and Grandpas in Lewiston. Had a great visit with Mark and Lucretia. Tuesday afternoon, Rick called me with some excellent news!!!! HE IS OFFICIALLY A BP EMPLOYEE ON THE ARTIC SLOPE!!! I couldnt be more proud of him! Congratulations Honey!!!

Wednesday, Toddy and I headed back to Lewiston to pick Rick up from the airport. He had been gone 5 weeks. It is really nice to have him home. We will be making the most of the 10 days!

Thursday, we headed to Kamiah to get Dallon. Bought time the kid came home. He had such a fun time playing, but I was glad to finally see him and have him home too. I would say Toddy and CJ missed him too as they had to take a nap together on Friday. Then, we went for a much needed Jeep ride Friday night!
Have a wonderful Easter weekend and watch for another post from me soon!

Getting ready for Easter!

I bought some foam stickers for the kids and I am letting them make Easter decorations everyday. They are loving it! Dallon is really enjoying the Easter Eggs and Toddy just puts his on paper and takes them off and then puts them back on!

Amazing that they could get along to do a fun project....they are really at the fighting stage right now!

Ok so now I have updated....maybe I can make this a weekly thing now!

Potty Training 101

Yes, I know I have potty trained one kid, but I feel like I have never done this before. Toddy refuses to wear any underwear. He absolutely freaks out when I put them on him. He is constantly taking his diaper off after he pees in it or right before he has to go pee and then pees on the floor. Well, the other day I put out underwear for him after he ripped his diaper off. I put his jammy pants back on and then he put his underwear on. He knew he had to go in the bathroom to go pee but peed right in his pants. Thinking I will wait a couple more weeks before I try again. He is so stubborn....it is gonna have to be on his terms!

New Family Member

As most of you probably know, Dallon bought a new puppy. Ok, so maybe I take care of it more, but he sure tries. Her name is CJ....she is 1/2 Yorkie 1/2 Chihuahua (Dallon says Chikawawa...very funny). She weighs about 5 pounds now. We have had her for almost 4 weeks. She was very easy to potty train. Gold fish crackers work wonders. She wasnt very playful at first, but now she has got into her groove. She likes to play first thing in the morning (6 a.m.) right at noon and then last thing at night. Otherwise she lays around and chews on her toys or sleeps. Rick has yet too meet her, but we have sent him lots of pictures. I think he will have to experience the 6 a.m. playtime. But, we love her so I guess we will keep her.

Playdoh Fun!!!

Today I made some playdoh for the kids. They love to play with it, but I have never been brave enough to buy any. The preschool Dallon goes to mailed out a recipe with their monthly school letter. So, I made some. Guess I better find some toys to go with it. Cookie cutters and spoons just dont work I guess! Oh and yes it is edible. Toddy tried to eat it!

Christmas Vacation

Wow!!! I can actually say that now. Dallon is in school and we only get to take vacations when he is on vacation. So lets begin:

The Saturday before Christmas, Sam, Chris and I ventured to Lewiston to do ALL of my Christmas shopping. Plus, Toddy's birthday presents. It was a very scary experience that I will never do again. Thank goodness I had no kids that weekend. Got all my shopping done and was exhausted when I got home. On Sunday and Monday, I wrapped all the presents and put them under the tree. Believe it or not, Toddy did not touch any of them. On Monday night, Toddy and I ventured to Lewiston in a horrible snow storm to pick up Rick from the airport. Yeah, his first Christmas home since he started working in Alaska. On Tuesday, we headed to Kamiah to pick up Dallon. He loves to go down there and stay with Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Skip and Grandma Shelly. On Wednesday was a day to relax and get all my food shopping done so that we could head to Dixie on Christmas Day.

So, now we are to Christmas Eve. The boys were really anxious to open their presents. Dallon was going crazy and Rick really wanted Dallon to open just one (the BB Gun). Since we had to be to my parents by 1:00, we let the boys open all the presents before we left. They loved all their gifts from everyone. The boys headed to Cottonwood before me since they wanted to take the Jeep. I had to take the box of toys and all the rest of the gifts, so I took the Tahoe. I enjoyed some quiet in my house before I left. We had a wonderful afternoon and evening with my family. We had a white elephant gift exchange. It was very fun. The kids got more presents. Lets just say they got lots of books and very few toys this year. Suggestion from their mother who has to pick up all the toys.

Christmas morning the kids opened Santa gifts and then we headed to Lewiston for Christmas breakfast. We patiently waited for Jennifer, Dana, and Delainey to show up. I needed to hold that precious little girl. Dallon finally got to meet her for the first time and loves her. She puked all over Rick so that was nice. Then, we came back to Grangeville and packed up everything so we could leave for Dixie after Christmas dinner. I baked some goodies and then we headed to Bruce and Lori's for a wonderful dinner and more presents.

Finally, at about 7:00 that night, Chris and Sam and all of us headed for Dixie. Chris and Sam spent the weekend and Rick and the boys and I came home on the 2nd. We had lots of fun with sledding and snowmobile riding. Just plain relaxing. On Sunday, we had to take Rick back to the airport so he could go to work. And now we are back to a schedule and school. When I have more patience, I will download some videos!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's! I know we did and we thank everyone for the wonderful Christmas cards and all the gifts for the kids and Rick and I!

Good News

Just got back from the doctor for Toddy's nose. It is definately cracked. But, he hit it square on so it is healing very well. Therefore, we do not have to go to a specialist. I have to keep an eye on it though. If I dont think it looks good next week then I have to take him back. Rick will be home Monday night, so he can decide. Here is a picture right before we went to the doctor today!

Toddy's First Major Accident

All I can say is boys will be boys....and this is just the beginning of the many accidents to come. The were running and chasing each other. Toddy fell against the futton. And yep.....he broke his nose. We will find out Thursday if he has to go to a specialist to have it fixed or not. He seems to be in a good mood and slept really good last night. His eye is getting a little black, but nothing major yet. the swelling has seemed to stop. So, pray that it is healing right and we wont have to have surgery. At least we didnt have to go to the ER, just the doctors office. But, from what family has told me, it is just the beginning and I am sure there will be worse. After all, they are their father's sons!!!

Thanksgivng Weekend

This year we spent Thanksgiving up in Dixie at my Father-in-laws cabin. We headed up Wednesday morning with Chris and Sam. Thursday, Sam and I made Turkey dinner and we did some playing outside. On Friday, Gpa Todd and Gma Shelly came up. There wasnt much snow, so Dallon is the only one that got to really ride his snowmobile. But, we tied the sled behind it and we pulled him or he pulled people. I think us adults had just as much fun as he did. On Saturday, Toddy had the flu, so Sam and I opted to stay at the cabin with him. The rest of the crew jumped in Toby's ranger and rode down to Mackay Bar to do some fishing. They caught 2 steelhead and had a great time. On Sunday none of us really wanted to leave so we tied the sled to the town cat and out on the airport we went. Man was it a rough ride when you were in the sled but it sure was fun. Sunday evening we headed home. It was a great time in Dixie.

When Spiderman Attacks!!!

So not much trick-or-treating this year, do to exhausted kids and sickness. But, the boys did dress up and we went to a few places. Dallon was the black Spiderman and Toddy was the red Spiderman. First, we stopped at Gma Skip's and Gpa Jerry's. The boys did a lot of playing for an hour and then decided we should venture on. I didnt think we would get far, since Toddy was extremely crabby and it was only 4:30. But, we headed to Gpa Todd's and Gma Shelly's. She was getting ready to make chocolate chip cookies. Toddy was happy to be there and watched cartoons while Dallon helped make cookies. It was very relaxing and fun. Then, we headed to Cottonwood. Both the boys fell asleep on the way there. So, Dallon was ready to go out once we got there. So, we hooked up with my friends Stephanie and Maria and their kids and went for an hour. It was fun, but we were ready to come home and go to bed. But, on the bright side. Dallon really hasnt asked for any of his candy. Then, Sunday morning we got up and went to Lewiston to trick or treat Grandma Darlene in the hospital. They really werent sure about Grandma being in there. Usually they hang all over her, but she just had knee surgery. But, they wore their costumes and had fun. And Grandma is doing good. Hope every one had a good Halloween.

Dallon Wrestling

Dallon wrestled in Kamiah on Saturday. He had been sick on Thursday night and Friday with a fever and cough. He had no fever on Saturday, but insisted on wrestling. I dont think he felt very good, but he wrestled. He was all ready for his first match with some energy, but not a 100%. He did very well against that kid. And then, it was down hill from there. He was very tired and you could tell he didnt feel good. This video is of his second match against one of his team mates. He is wearing white shoes. He was so tired and had no fight. He did good though. Then his last match he was exhausted. Hopefully, next weekend he will feel good and be ready to wrestle all day. I will try to get more pictures and another video next weekend.

Pumpkin Carving

Tuesday afternoon before Rick left, we decided to carve the pumpkins. Dallon and Rick chose to do Spongebob and Toddy and I did a bat. Toddy didnt like the feel of the pumpkins. So, he really wasnt into it. Dallon, on the other hand, wanted to carve everything. So, once I was done, he started carving on mine. Rick's pumpkin took about an hour to carve. Mine 10 minutes. After I took Toddy's clothes off, I guess he decided he needed to be diaper free. Although, he didnt succeed, he did look funny!!!

Dallon's First Tournament

Dallon had a great time wrestling on Saturday. We were both extremely tired, but we both managed and had a great time. He got to wrestle 4 times. Although, he did not win any, he had so much fun. He really enjoyed cheering for his buddy Evan. They are not in the same age group, so they could watch each other. I got the enjoyment of watching Dallon wrestle on our big screen tv Saturday night with Rick. I had to coach a little girl that was very scared. The only way she would wrestle was if I was with her the whole time. So, therefore, I was with her while Dallon was wrestling. Rick and Toddy decided to stay home since Rick had flown the whole day before and was still tired. He did really good and had lots of fun. Stay tuned for next weeks pictures. Maybe I can get a video uploaded next week. He is all ready!!!

Dallon's 1st Field Trip

Dallon got to go on his first field trip for school last Friday. I got to go with him as one of the volunteers. I really like his school because they allow for parents to come whenever they want and they also get to volunteer one day a month to stay the whole day. Anyways, the class got to walk down to the local grocery store, Cash and Carry, to buy an apple and tour the store. This is a picture of the store manager and one of Dallon's teachers, Miss Brittany. This is the group that I got to walk to the store. Dallon, Joey, and Eliana. Dallon and Joey got along just fine, but Eliana was devastated on the way back and had to walk with one of the teachers.
And this is Dallon's whole class. There was only one kid missing that day. It was so much fun and I cant wait for the next trip. Plus, I cant believe how well 24 4-5 years old can act when there are so few adults to supervise. There were only 2 kids that got in trouble or caused problems and had to walk with the teachers. Very polite and good bunch of kids.
