Todd gained a pound in the past two weeks. He now weighs 7 lbs. 15 oz. He is a big boy. He also grew a half an inch. That makes him 21 1/4 inches long. It wasnt all great news at the doctors office though. He has been spitting up a lot in the past week. So, I asked the doctor about it. The flap that closes at his stomach doesnt always close. It has spasms and then he spits up. This is common in little boys. They will usually get it by the time they are 3 weeks and it should last only until they are 6 weeks. The bad news is that this might not be the worst of it yet. I am praying that I have already hit the worst. The good news is that Todd has a prescription that will help so his tummy doesnt spasm. Hopefully he wont spit up as much. As long as he keeps gaining weight (which obviously isnt a problem) then we wont have to do anything else.
This is a picture of my shirt after he spit up yesterday. He spit up almost a whole bottle. The other picture is of him after he got dressed and felt better. Needless to say, it hasnt been all that fun this past week. There is a lot of crying and spitting up.
